Our guide to the best attractions locally when staying in our luxury Barbados villas, there really is something for everybody!

Barbados has a wealth of attractions to keep you busy during your stay, whether it be one of the fantastic eateries, having a few rounds of golf, or snorkelling with turtles.

Holetown

Barbados’ west coast is known for its white sands and turquoise waters, and the beach at Holetown is part of the ‘Platinum Coast’ a long stretch of soft sands fringed by swaying palms.

This friendly seaside town gives you a sense of traditional Caribbean life. The town centre has shops, bars, and restaurants to suit all tastes. While you are there, slow your pace to admire the colonial architecture and experience the culture. The nightlife and music scene also attract a crowd.

Sea Shed

Spend your days lounging by turquoise waters and slip easily into nights dining under the starry Caribbean sky....

Open for lunch and dinner you have the choice of spending the day on a sun lounger while the dedicated crew ensures your glass is always full, or enjoying a superb lunch or dinner in the open air restaurant.

Pebbles Beach

Pebbles beach is located on the south-western coast. The calm waters and white sands lend themselves to snorkelling or scuba diving around the shipwrecks in Carlisle Bay, paddle boarding and kayaking.

Pebbles Beach is also a favourite with Barbados racehorses! Nearly every morning, grooms bring the horses from their nearby stables at the Garrison to bathe in these waters. It is particularly therapeutic for those recovering from injury.

At Pebbles Beach, you will also find Cuz’s Fish Stand – stop for a fish cutter, you won’t regret it!

Lone Star Restaurant

Intimate in style, with a cool, contemporary design, Lone Star Barbados is in the exclusive St James area of the island. It is surrounded by lush tropical gardens and situated on the west coast beach.

Breakfast and dinner are served in the famous Lone Star restaurant. A culinary magnet for island residents, celebrities, and gourmet travellers. Lone Star restaurant is one of the most popular beachfront restaurants in Barbados, where you can dine directly on the beach.

Hunte’s Garden

Hunte's Garden is a botanical garden and significant tourist attraction in the St Joseph area of central Barbados, created from the 1950s by horticulturist Anthony Hunte in an unusual sink-hole-like gully.

A place of serenity where you can feel peace of mind and the tranquillity of your soul whilst being surrounded by nature in some of the wonderous varieties it has to offer. Take a leisurely stroll through the lush botanicals and then join Anthony himself for a rum punch, a piece of his homemade cake and a chat.

Mullins Beach

Mullins beach is located in the parish of St.Peter and is one of the most popular beaches on the west coast.

This is the place to relax in a lounge chair under the umbrellas and shade of the Casuarina or palm trees, take a dip in the safely roped off areas, or venture out further on a jetski!

The beach bar is a great spot to grab a drink, snack, or lunch during the day, or to drop by later on for a romantic sunset dinner or nightcap.

Brighton Farmer’s Market

In the centre of the island of Barbados, in the parish of St. George, there is a location to which an early morning expedition is made every Saturday morning by a large number of Barbadians as well as members of the expatriate community

From 6:00am to 10:00am each Saturday morning, the plantation grounds are transformed into a market and social thoroughfare, where local farmers, artists and vendors also have the opportunity to display their ware as attractively as possible in order to obtain as many sales as they possibly can.

Animal Flower Cave

The Animal Flower Cave is located at the most northerly point of Barbados in the parish of St.Lucy offering spectacular views across the Atlantic Ocean.

The name “Animal Flower Cave” comes from the sea anemones found in the pools of the cave. There are several openings looking out to sea, offering spectacular views and some of the pools are deep enough for you to swim in.

There is a restaurant here and a small bar for refreshments too.

Gibbs Beach

Gibbs beach is a peaceful, tree-lined sandy stretch of beach with calm waters for swimming & snorkelling, plus a great location for sunset watching.

The beach here is considered one of the most unpopulated on the island and is perfect for relaxing in a quiet and peaceful atmosphere under the warm Caribbean sun. When staying at Salt Life at Claridges, you will be less than a 5 minutes walk to Gibbs beach and can enjoy exclusive beach service with beach chairs and umbrellas.

Golf at Royal Westmoreland

This golf course is as enjoyable as it is demanding. You’ll find a mixture of challenging holes, the highlight being the collection of signature Par 3’s.

Chattel Village, Holetown

The Chattel Village is a colourful collection of shops located in the popular west coast town of Holetown. The shops are set in lovely tropical gardens making for scenic shopping and browsing.

While the tropical flowers and shrubs may catch your attention, the real attraction here is the wide variety of shops including Best of Barbados Gift Shops, The Gourmet Shop and Ganzee T-Shirt Shop. Whether you’re looking for local fashion, art for your home or gifts to take back for someone special, you’ll find it right here.

Enjoy lunch or just a refreshing drink at Cafe Bar Carizma in the heart of the Chattel Village, or at Just Grilling at the southern end of the village.

Bathsheba & The Soup Bowl

Bathsheba is the main fishing village in the parish of Saint Joseph on the east coast. Along the coast are guest houses, local rum shops and restaurants.

It is breathtakingly beautiful; wide white sand beaches stretch along a dramatic coastline of striking rock formations against which the Atlantic rollers break in cascades of foam. What at first glance look like huge boulders washed up on the beach are actually rock formations broken away from ancient coral reef!

Bathsheba is not the best for the average swimmer, though every surfer and bodyboarder, local and international have sought to ride the waves here, especially at the famed Soup Bowl.

Shared Coastal Cruise:

If scheduling permits, you and your party may share the boat with another party/parties for the tour experience. This is good for those adventurous ones who are open for serendipitous encounters with like minded guests. (Up to 10 people, 2 hour minimum.)

Harrison’s Cave

One of the Barbados Tourism Encyclopedia's "Seven Wonders of Barbados" is this spectacular cave which is one of our island's most famous attractions.

A unique phenomenon of nature, Harrison’s Cave is an amazing gallery of stalactites hanging from the roof of the cave, and stalagmites that emerge from the ground, with streams of crystal-clear running water that drop from breath-taking waterfalls to form deep emerald pools. St Nicholas Abbey

St. Nicholas Abbey’s 350-year history is filled with colourful tales of murder, love and intrigue; its owners have played pivotal roles in both Barbadian and American history.

St Nicholas Abbey is located in Saint Peter, Barbados, and is a plantation house, museum and rum distillery.
