Meet Hamish and Dougal, our 4-year old Highland Coos that live in the grounds of our site in the Highlands.

After the passing of our Highland Cow, Archie, who had resided at Muckrach House for many year and become one of the most photographed Highland cows in the area, it felt only right that the field should once again have a rugged resident… or two!

We welcomed brothers Hamish and Dougal as calves in 2018 to carry on Archie’s legacy and they have enjoyed the views, the visitors, and the occasional gluten free oatcake from their field at the front of our land ever since!
